Budgitify Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and LzCtrl LLC ("LzCtrl", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the Budgitify mobile application and website (collectively, the "Services"). By using Budgitify, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Budgitify. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your Account

Account registration uses Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at info@lzctrl.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Certain features of Budgitify require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Apple (App Store) or Stripe, depending on how you subscribed.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings (for App Store purchases) or by contacting us at info@lzctrl.com (for Stripe billing). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: For App Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's standard policies. For Stripe billing, refund requests may be submitted to info@lzctrl.com and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide reasonable notice of any price change before it takes effect.

4. Bank Account Connections

Budgitify enables you to connect bank accounts through Plaid, a third-party financial data provider. By connecting a bank account, you agree to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy and authorize Plaid to access your financial institution data on your behalf. LzCtrl LLC is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of Plaid or your financial institution.

You may disconnect a linked bank account at any time within the app. Upon disconnection or account deletion, your Plaid access token is revoked immediately and no further data is retrieved.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Budgitify:

For any unlawful purpose
To attempt unauthorized access to our systems
To interfere with the operation or security of the Services
To submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and intellectual property in Budgitify are owned by or licensed to LzCtrl LLC. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any content from the Services without our prior written consent.

7. Termination

LzCtrl may suspend or terminate your access to Budgitify at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time within the app or by contacting info@lzctrl.com.

8. Disclaimers

Budgitify is a personal finance and budgeting tool. It is not intended to provide legal, financial, investment, or tax advice. Nothing in the Services constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument.

Financial data retrieved from connected bank accounts is provided for informational purposes only. LzCtrl LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data synced from third-party financial institutions or Plaid. Transaction data may be delayed, missing, or incorrectly categorized. You should always verify important financial information directly with your financial institution.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LzCtrl LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use Budgitify, including but not limited to financial loss, loss of data, or reliance on inaccurate financial information displayed in the app.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to LzCtrl LLC in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LzCtrl LLC and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Changes to Terms

LzCtrl LLC reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will post changes on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Michigan.
